His role at the University of Pretoria, coupled with over 50 published papers, underscores his contribution to endodontic education and research. Do you accept medical aids?
No. We are contracted out but we can provide the patient with an invoice and they can claim back from their medical aids.
Do you remove broken instruments?
Yes. If we remove the instrument, we would feel more comfortable if we complete the root canal ourselves
Will you refer the patient back to me?
Yes. We will refer the patient back to you for any restorative work required.
Who do I contact in the case of an emergency?
Adnill or Martin on WhatsApp.
Do you do endodontic surgery?
No, but we have an excellent surgical team right next door (Cape Periodontal Specialists)
What if I am not sure if my patient needs a root canal?
We will do the necessary tests and scans if we see that a root canal can be avoided, we will restore the tooth with a permanent filling and refer the patient back to you for a crown
Do you treat cracked teeth?
Yes, we do.
My patient is still in pain even after I completed the root canal; what do I do?
We will gladly help and have a look. Common causes of pain could range from the filling being too high to insufficient shaping and cleansing of the endodontic plexus
How long after you have done the root canal can I do a crown for the patient?
It depends on the case, but it could range from immediately to 3 months.
